Information Technology Systems Officer

We are seeking an individual to join our Information Services team as Information Technology Systems Officer in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (2 days per week).
 
 
As Information Technology Systems Officer you will ensure that Council:
• Supports and ensures reliable software and equipment to enable staff in their role. 
• Follows standard procedures and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.
• Maintains secure IT systems.
• Effectively completes IT projects. 
 
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure the security and integrity of Council’s network and communications infrastructure is maintained.
• Manage the operation and development of the information technology network, supporting server systems and ICT infrastructure, including both on premise infrastructure and applications and cloud/Internet based.
• Provide input into and assist with preparation of policies, procedures, specifications and plans relating to the implementation, operation and development of the information technology environment 
Provide a professional, friendly and customer orientated approach at all times.
• Provide a high level of user support through the provision of incident and problem management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders.

• Demonstrated high level customer service skills and ability to resolve issues.

• Well-developed investigative, analytical and problem solving skills using an evidence based approach.

• Demonstrated experience with networking technologies

• Knowledge of IT security technologies and processes

• Management and administration of Microsoft and Cloud technology

• Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

• Knowledge of specialist ERP software, such as Civica Authority (desirable)

Salary information: $43.92 to $47.38 per hour, plus superannuation
