Multipurpose Officer/Plant Operator

Location: Colac

Colac Otway Shire Council are seeking to recruit a Multipurpose Officer/Plant Operator to join our Services and Operations team in Colac in a Permanent Full-Time capacity.

As a member of the Services and Operations team you will carry out allocated tasks on Council's roads, bridges and road reserves, as well as Council-owned and managed land, with an emphasis on safety, quality and budget requirements to meet corporate values and standards.

This position is based at the Colac depot.

The successful applicant will be required to have:

  • Proven experience in manual/outdoor work activities
  • Experience in road construction/maintenance works
  • Good written and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and respect when dealing with employees and customers
  • OHS Construction Induction White Card (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Heavy Rigid licence with a good driving history
  • Machinery tickets such as front end loader, backhoe would be advantageous
  • Current manual driver’s licence

Salary Information: $64,129.10 to $67,823.63 per annum including industry allowance plus superannuation
