About the Role
The Project Manager will join the Program Delivery team to oversee the planning and delivery of civil and road projects. Reporting to the Coordinator Project Management, the role will manage projects in line with Council’s project management processes, ensuring compliance with governance, contract and procurement requirements. The position will also provide advice and support across the Program Delivery team, contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, and ensure that projects meet safety, budget and quality standards.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering civil and road projects. You will have strong skills in contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and construction management, along with sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and confidence in negotiating with contractors and consultants. Just as importantly, you will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong alignment with Council’s values, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team culture. Qualifications in civil engineering, project management or construction management are desirable, as is experience working within local government or complex stakeholder environments.
