About the Role:

As the General Manager Corporate Services, you are a strategic and accomplished leader with a strong focus on governance, financial stewardship, technology development and organisational performance. Your leadership will guide diverse corporate functions, ensuring robust systems, compliance, and resources are in place to support Council's operations. With a commitment to service excellence and collaboration, you will enable the organisation to deliver strong outcomes for the community.

Key areas of executive leadership responsibility include:

• Financial Services
• People and Culture
• Procurement, Property and Contracts
• Information Services

To succeed in this role: You will bring a track record of driving innovation and achieving high-performance outcomes across strategic and business planning, risk and project management, people leadership, technology, and customer service. You will also demonstrate:

• Strong capability to provide strategic direction and informed financial advice
• Well-developed strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues
• Proven leadership experience managing and inspiring multi-disciplinary teams
• Expertise in leading organisational change and building a positive culture
• Sound knowledge of legislative frameworks and the ability to apply them effectively
• Extensive experience in developing organisational strategy and policy
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels

Extensive experience at a senior level in the application of high-level governance principles and government administration are relevant to this position.

Experience in the Victorian local, or state government sector would be highly regarded.
