Street Sweeper – Multipurpose Officer/Plant Operator
Location: Colac Depot
Type: Permanent Full-Time (9-day fortnight)
Start Time: 5:00am, Finish Time: 12.50pm Monday to Friday
Salary: $64,129.10 – $67,823.63 per annum (inclusive of the industry allowance) + super + penalty rates if working outside of the current spread of hours.
Colac Otway Shire Council is hiring a Street Sweeper to join the Services & Operations team. You’ll mainly operate the street sweeper across the Shire, with occasional maintenance work on roads, bridges, and Council land.

What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in manual/outdoor work activities
- Basic computer and written/oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate a respectful and positive attitude in all interactions with colleagues and members of the public.
- Have an OHS Construction Induction Card/White Card (or willing to obtain prior to commencement).
- Civil machinery tickets and experience would be advantageous
- Current manual drivers licence with experience in HR truck operation essential
