The Quality and Compliance Officer's primary objective is to ensure that Council:
- Operates the Support at Home program in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and internal policies.
- Supports continuous improvement, risk management, and quality assurance processes to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care for older Australians living independently in the community.
- Assists with maintaining compliance with the aged care quality and safety standards, legislation and accreditation under the Support at Home program.
- Identifies, assesses and mitigates clinical risks, implementing best practice, and risk management strategies to enhance participant safety and high-quality service delivery.
- Focuses on continuous improvement through data analysis, consumer feedback and incident monitoring.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining Council’s aged care services quality assurance framework and records.
- Assisting the Coordinator and Manager in the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Responding to emergencies that impact on Council’s aged and disability service.
- Providing support and direction to internal staff, field staff (community care workers) and volunteers in the absence of the Coordinator.
About You:
To support your success in this role you will have:
- Qualifications and/or extensive experience in Nursing or Allied Health or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with quality assurance, risk and compliance frameworks and continuous improvement.
- Sound knowledge of the Support at Home Program
- Detailed knowledge of the aged care quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- A Current Victorian driver's licence

Salary information: $86,793.20 to $93,614.04 per annum pro rata plus superannuation.
