We are seeking an experienced community minded leader to join our Bluewater Leisure Centre in a Permanent Full-Time capacity as our Team Leader Aquatic.
Bluewater Leisure Centre is a multipurpose aquatic and recreation centre. At Bluewater, we are proud to provide Colac and surrounding areas a first-class leisure and recreation facility that now sits among the best a regional town has to offer. Bluewater is owned and operated by Colac Otway Shire Council, which aims to ensure the centre provides health and fitness participation options for all ages.

The Team Leader Aquatic's primary objective is to ensure that Bluewater Leisure Centre/Council:
- Maintains a safe, compliant and efficiently operated aquatic environment, including supervision, risk management and emergency readiness.
- Provides leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams, ensuring high performance, strong communication and consistent delivery of Bluewater standards.
- Maintains accurate operational checklists, safety documentation, staff qualification registers and aquatic area compliance records.
- Ensures minor plant room maintenance, chemical ordering and facility presentation standards are completed safely and consistently.
- Delivers high-quality in-house Lifeguard training, including scenario practice, skills refreshers and safety briefings.
- Provides direct-service leadership through the Duty Manager role (30 hours per week) supported by 8 hours of administrative and coordination duties.

About You:
To support your success in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in aquatic supervision and safety.
- Ability to lead, mentor and coordinate staff.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage operational risk and compliance.
- Current qualifications: Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and Working with Children Check.

Salary information: $67,226.64 to $70,836.48 per annum plus superannuation.
