Join Colac Otway Shire Council's Ageing Well team and play an important role in supporting older people to remain independent, connected and living well at home. We have two Permanent Full-Time positions available.
As the Support Officer Ageing Well, you will provide administrative and operational support to our Care Partners and Service Delivery team, helping to coordinate quality aged care services and ensuring participants receive timely, responsive and person-centered support.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Service Delivery, this position is responsible for a broad range of administrative functions that support the delivery of Council's Ageing Well services. You will liaise with participants, families, staff, suppliers and service providers while maintaining a high standard of customer service and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant administration, including service agreements and service requests.
  • Respond to participant and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records within client management systems and databases.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to arrange services and supports.
  • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with Council policies.
  • Support rostering, scheduling and timesheet processes for Community Care Workers.
  • Assist the Ageing Well team to meet Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the service.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of aged care services.

  • Experience working with client management systems and databases.
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, while also being able to work independently.
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Availability to participate in the Ageing Well after-hours on-call roster as required.

Salary information: $69,411.51 to $73,138.67 per annum plus superannuation
