We are seeking an exceptional community minded individual to join our Older Persons and Abilities Support Service (OPASS) team as Quality and Compliance Officer in a Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time capacity.

The Quality and Compliance Officer's primary objective is to ensure that Council:

  • Operates to industry standards, meeting legal requirements and best practices for in-home aged care services.
  • Has a focus on continuous improvement in its Older Persons and Ability Support Services (OPASS) Unit in accordance with quality and compliance frameworks.
  • Prepares for and implements relevant Aged Care Reforms, including operational efficiency and capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Council’s aged care services quality assurance framework and records.
  • Assist the Coordinator and Manager in the development and review of policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies that impact on Council’s aged and disability service.
  • Provide support and direction to internal staff, field staff (community care workers) and volunteers in the absence of the Coordinator.

About You:

To support your success in this role you will have:

  • Qualification and/or extensive experience in Allied Health, Community Services, Nursing or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with quality assurance, risk and compliance frameworks and continuous improvement.
  • Sound knowledge of the Home Care Package Program (HCPP) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
  • Detailed knowledge of the aged care reforms.
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Current Victorian drivers licence

Salary information: $86,793.20 to $93,614.04 per annum plus superannuation.
